GDM INFORMATION

Grand Design Mat was founded in 1999. The first trunk lid mat was for a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix. After fabricating the mat, a post with picture was added to a Grand Prix forum. Hours later we had numerous emails asking about where it could be purchased. Our idea just took off and had no idea that the MDM trunk lid mat would end up where we are today. The trunk lid mat then moved to the Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Impala. In 2004, we had a persistent Ford Mach 1 owner requesting a mat. Within several weeks GDM had sold over 50 mats. In 2006, we became licensed by Ford Motor Company. By 2008, GDM was licensed by SHELBY Licensing. GDM has been in business for over 11 years. As of January 2010, we have sold over 6000 mats and other accessories.

At Grand Design Mat we feel if an item is not good enough to be installed in our cars, then it’s not good enough for customer cars.
